How to jumpstart your metabolism

Don’t despair! There are a number of things you can do to jumpstart your metabolism and lose weight. It doesn't include going to the gym 3 days a week pumping weights although, obviously, that would help.

As you are probably aware if you consume more calories than is required to develop your muscles, those extra calories get converted to fat. It is this unwanted fat that causes the metabolism to slow down and the body weight to increase.

Eat the following foods

Lean red meat, salmon, omega3 eggs, low-fat lactose free yoghurt, spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower, avocadoes, mixed berries, oranges, mixed beans, quinoa, whole oats, mixed nuts, olive oil, flaxseed and flaxseed oil and green tea.

Dr John Berardi PhD recommends eating these foods every a week as they are good for your metabolism.
