Earn money taking photos

Did you know that you can earn money taking photos without being a professional photographer? Plenty of sites are willing to pay money for photos taken by amateurs.

Anyway, I've found this fabulous ebook that sells for up to $49, but I'll sell it to you for only $17. It's called the "Photos for Profit Guidebook" and it will teach you how to make money from photos - some that may be already stored on your hard disk.

I'm not saying that you could make a full time career out of it, but if you take fabulous photos, can point and click a mouse button to upload the photos to websites why not have a go and earn a few extra dollars in your pocket?

Read the sales page for Photos for Profit Guidebook here and see if this a money making opportunity you could use.

Have you joined The Sandpit yet? Come and play in the personal development sandpit and enjoy some product discounts, a free ezine and some great money making ideas available only to members.

I'd love to hear some feedback.

Squidoo and Forced Money and Keywords

Well, I now have 2 lenses up on squidoo. The success mindset lens and a new one reviewing a new business opportunity called Forced Money. You can read my lens here if you're interested.

Anyhow, the point is I put my forced money overview lens on squidoo yesterday afternoon and within 2 hours it was coming up on page 1 of google when people entered "forced money" into the search engine! Woo hoo - good on ya squidoo....

Whilst enjoying myself and searching over and over for "forced money" my head getting bigger by the second thinking how clever I am I came across a site called yedda.com that I'd never heard of before. It's a site that allows you to ask questions and I saw someone asking if "Is Forced Money a scam?" which had a link to a lens that has a review on it as well.

So like any good internet marketer you copy what seems to work for other people so I created an account (free) with yedda.com and asked this question.

Lo and behold that entry also came up on page 1 of google for the keywords "forced money" and it only took a couple of minutes!

I got a grand total of 12 hits to my lens and most went on to the Forced Money website and read the sales page, although sadly, no one purchased.

But why only 12 hits when I had entries on page 1 of google?

Because Forced Money is a product that's only been released in the past couple of weeks. Few have heard of it so why would they bother searching for it? It's important to realise that if you want hits to your website people have got to be searching for your keywords.

In this instance I'm happy with the few hits I've got so far. Once more people hear of Forced Money, the more people will search and the more hits I'll get if I maintain my first page rankings and I'll do that by adding fresh content on a regular basis.

Interestingly, yesterday when I searched there were only around 3,000 competitors, now there are around 4,000 competitors so the word is spreading....

Hope you learn something from this post. Essentially what I wanted to show you is that it is possible to be on the first page of search engines simply by using a lot of the free tools on the internet.

Anyway, I'm now going to add some content to my squidoo lens.

Oh, and don't forget about qassia and hubpages.... Results there would be similar I think, it's just that there's only 24 hours in a day so I haven't done much with them yet.......

Until next time

Overcoming obstacles

Picture this, you and the kids are attending a Disney on Ice production at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Then the worst happens. Fire breaks out.

In a perfect world everyone would calmly and quickly walk to an exit to escape the flames.

As we all know the world is not perfect so what is more likely to happen is that panic sets in and people would rush blindly to the nearest exit creating complete pandemonium.

Before long, all the exits would be jammed with people trying to get out with the horrible result being that no one left inside the stadium would be able to get out!

So, the problem with getting everyone out of a burning stadium is that all the exits would be totally jammed because of the unhelpful, but totally understandable behaviour of everyone panicking.

Interestingly, it has been shown that the best way to ensure the exits remain unjammed is to place an obstacle directly in front of the exit. This forces people to go around the obstacle before they can go through the exit. Many lives could be saved if there were obstacles placed in front of exits........ (How dumb does that sound?)

I learnt this when watching the science show Catalyst one night. See the story Panic Dynamic for yourself.

It occurred to me this morning when returning home from the supermarket that roundabouts work on this principle too. Think about it. A busy intersection, no traffic lights and no roundabout. Could be stuck in traffic for ages while the cars in front are giving way to everyone else and all you want to do is go straight ahead.

Now think about a busy intersection, no traffic lights still, but it has a roundabout. Traffic flows smoothly and quickly.........

Does all this change your perception of obstacles in your life? Perhaps we should embrace obstacles instead of moaning about them? Perhaps the are trying to tell us something.

What do others think?

Hmmmmm
Until my next post

Squidoo, HubPages and Qassia

In the never ending quest for traffic I have a couple of suggestions.

As far as I can tell in my limited experience so far - Squidoo, HubPages and Qassia are all fairly similar. Despite the fact they are similar it's probably a good idea to spread your efforts across all three platforms.

I have started a squidoo lens that you can look at here. I am attempting to get traffic to my site and/or sell Michael Lee's persuasion ebook. Either outcome is a winner as far as I'm concerned.

Squidoo lenses can come up on search engine results too, so my goal is that if people search on the term "success mindset" at google then my lens will appear in the top 10-20.

Currently if a squidoo user types "success mindset" into the search on squidoo I rank at number 2! Not bad at all. That should translate into traffic for me!

Anyway, this is all very very new to me so I'll let you know how I go. However, I am confident that with a bit of tweaking here and there I can have it all working beautifully.

Just wanted to share in case you could use this tactic too. And did I mention they're free? Well, they are free!

Good luck

List building using joint ventures

Perhaps I'm the last internet marketer on the planet to finally realise the potential power of some joint ventures proposals I've received and (to my regret) ignored in the past.

For some reason I read an email this morning from someone I didn't know about a JV giveaway event and it finally clicked! An "ah ha" moment if you like!

I'll explain it the best I can and if you too realise the power, go ahead and sign up under me with the link I give you (which is free by the way).

If you have an ebook that you have giveaway rights to what you do is sign up to this giveaway event. When you log you can add your gift.

To add your gift you simply give the url of your landing page (which will be a form for your optin newsletter) and the url of the download page where the gift resides.

It is exactly the same concept as giving away a freebie from your website in exchange for an email address except there will be heaps of marketers promoting this site, translating to heaps of visitors, which translates to heaps of potential optin subscribers. In a previous post I have mentioned how valuable these optin subscribers can be to you.

If you are a newbie and don't have anything to give away simply optin to receive my ezine and you'll be given subscriber only access to quite a few ebooks that you can giveaway in this massive event. A lot of the ebooks are suitable for any niche such as Law of Attraction and some are specific to particular niches.

I'll be letting you know how I go. If you decide to participate let us all know how you go by commenting to this post.

best of luck
Sharon
