Squidoo, HubPages and Qassia

In the never ending quest for traffic I have a couple of suggestions.

As far as I can tell in my limited experience so far - Squidoo, HubPages and Qassia are all fairly similar. Despite the fact they are similar it's probably a good idea to spread your efforts across all three platforms.

I have started a squidoo lens that you can look at here. I am attempting to get traffic to my site and/or sell Michael Lee's persuasion ebook. Either outcome is a winner as far as I'm concerned.

Squidoo lenses can come up on search engine results too, so my goal is that if people search on the term "success mindset" at google then my lens will appear in the top 10-20.

Currently if a squidoo user types "success mindset" into the search on squidoo I rank at number 2! Not bad at all. That should translate into traffic for me!

Anyway, this is all very very new to me so I'll let you know how I go. However, I am confident that with a bit of tweaking here and there I can have it all working beautifully.

Just wanted to share in case you could use this tactic too. And did I mention they're free? Well, they are free!

Good luck

Tips to Get Repeat Web Traffic

1. Update the pages on your website frequently with fresh, relevant content. Stagnant sites are dropped by some search engines.

2. Offer additional value on your website. Offer links to other websites that complement what you offer on your website. Your visitors will notice that you are simply trying to help raher than just sell to them. You will also be seen as an "expert" rather than a "salesperson".

3. Allow customers to ‘opt in’ to get discounts and special offers. Place a link on your site to invite customers to ‘opt in’ to get a monthly newsletter or valuable coupons. This is my opt in page. Treat customers who have opted in like gold. Never spam them and don't hassle them by emailing every day. Make sure your newsletter is full of valuable content and offers

4. Add a link to your primary page with a script ‘Book Mark or Add this site to your Favorites’.

5. Add a link ‘Recommend this site to a Friend’ so that the visitor can email your website link, with a prewritten title, “Thought you might be interested in this”, just by clicking on it.

6. Brand your website so that visitors always know they are on your site. Use consistent colors, logos and slogans and always provide a ‘Contact Us’ link on each page.

7. Create a ‘Our Policies’ page that clearly defines your philosophy and principles in dealing with your customers. Also post your privacy policy as well so that clients know they are secure when they visit your site. In fact, if you are displaying adsense ads you must have a privacy policy that is accessible on every page of your website.

8. Create a FAQ page which addresses most of the doubts and clarifications about your product or your company that are likely to be asked. This helps to resolve most of the customers doubts in their first visit to your site.

8. Ensure that each page on your website has appropriate titles and keywords so that they can find your site again if the lose the bookmark.

9. Make sure your navigation buttons are appropriately labelled so that customers can find their way around your site easily.

10. Check out SBI and see how it ensures that your website gets repeat traffic and lots of it!

Hope this article gave you some great ideas for getting those all important repeat visitors. After all, if people get to know and trust you they are more likely to buy from you rather than go to the competition.

Review of rssHugger

Whatever your internet business you need traffic to survive - and the more the better. Even better still is having that traffic coming to your site or blog free of charge.

There are two ways of generating free traffic.

1. have a link to your blog from a site that has a reputation for quality content and;
2. being easily found when web searchers do a search by being one of the first sites listed

Enter rssHugger. Their aim is to help vistors find blogs of interest to them whether they be internet marketing, gaming, sports, charity etc. In order to do that they allow bloggers to advertise their blog on the rssHugger site.

The good thing is that they review each blog before allowing it into rssHugger which keeps it high quality and spam free.

You can either pay $20 to have your blog listed in rssHugger or write a free review on your site. Either way, you're blog will be reviewed.

Visit rssRhugger and see what you think. I'm sure you'll want to add your blog if you have one.

If this blog is accepted you can visit my rssHugger webpage here.
